The torch is a tool item in Amnesia: The Bunker. It is used to provide a source of personal lighting for the player. It can also ignite fires and fend off vermin. It requires a stick and a cloth to make, as well as a lighter to ignite.

The torch, unlike the starting flashlight, doesn't create any noise when used. However, it has durability. Lighting the torch and holding it out degrades the item, which is shown in the inventory as a grey bar over the item icon. When the durability runs out, the torch degrades beyond usability and ceases to exist as an item.

The harder the difficulty, the faster the torch will burn out when lit.

Trivia

• The torch was also a cut item from Amnesia: The Dark Descent for Daniel to use as his main light source and was replaced by the lantern.
