The Flight is the first location of Amnesia: Rebirth and represents the interior of the Cassandra pre-crash. Tasi, Salim, and the rest of the crew are the passengers. The player cannot yet interact with any items as this section is a cutscene.
Information[]
The expedition are on the aeroplane Cassandra somewhere over the Algerian desert when unexpected supernatural turbulence causes the Cassandra to crash. This level is purely cinematic; to complete it, simply wait for the cutscene to end. The cutscene starts with a view of Tasi's sketchbook, and the story is first explained with a voiceover from Tasi and a series of drawings showing the fourteen members of the expedition. After the narration, Tasi's hand drawing with a pencil appears. Her drawing is interrupted when the plane starts to hit turbulence. Salim is nervous and Tasi tries to comfort him. Then the engines start to fail. As can be seen from the window, the Dark World flickers in and out of view. The pilot, Masson, attempts to regain control of the Cassandra but to no avail. The plane then crashes.
