Stoic is an achievement in the Steam and Xbox versions of the game Amnesia: Rebirth. In the Playstation version, it exists as a gold Trophy. Stoic is a missable skill task achievement, gained by performing an unusual action in the game—in this case, by speedrunning the game.

Overview[]

Stoic is achieved by reaching the Iconoclast ending or the Provider ending, while succumbing to fear (reached maximum Fear) less than four times. It requires that the player to keep Tasi's fear in check, i.e. talking to Amari during her pregnancy.

Trivia[]

  • A "Stoic" is someone who is a believer and practitioner of Stoic philosophy, or "Stoicism," practiced by various Ancient Greeks and Romans.[1][a]
  • As of December 2025, 11.0% of Steam players have obtained this achievement.

Footnotes[]

  1. Stoic philosophy emphasized self-control and seeking happiness by refusing to be upset by uncontrollable external disasters.[2][3] It has thus come to popularly mean "someone who is unphased by bad events" or "someone who does not show strong emotional reactions."[1]
