Sam A. Mowry

Sam A. Mowry is an American actor and voice-artist. He provides the voice for Alexander of Brennenburg. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Sam moved across the country before settling in Portland, OR in 1979. A professional actor and director for the last 29 years, currently Sam is the Founder and Director of the Willamette Radio Workshop, an award winning Audio Theater company.

Sam has produced dozens of independent productions on stage. Founder and director of the Heart Theater (notable productions include, The White Devil and The Trial) and The Shakespeare Martyr Complex, (Christmas Carol, Satan’s Fall, The Yellow Wallpaper). Some representative stage roles from over 100 options, Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, Lennie in Of Mice and Men, Macbeth, Edward II, James Leeds in Children of a Lesser God, Clark in Short Eyes, Petruchio in Taming of the Shrew, Andrew Wyke in Sleuth, Daniel Webster in The Devil and Daniel Webster, Dr. Astrov in Uncle Vanya, Shere Kahn in The Jungle Book, Dr. Stockman in An Enemy of the People and Richard in The Lion in Winter.
