While rich in legend and hearsay, my knowledge is lack for the insight I crave."
There are a great many minor characters mentioned and/or present in some form in the game Amnesia: Rebirth. As too little evidence exists to conclude much about their lives or persons, they are more conveniently collected here.
Alain Richemont[]
Alfie Webber[]
Alfie Webber was the son of Jonathan Webber.[1] He is a mentioned character in Amnesia: Rebirth. Alfie, and his sister Susan Webber, were intended by their father to receive one or more postcards on his expedition to Algeria (as Jonathan's first journey outside of England). Their father also intended to give them both trinkets from the trip.[2] Alfie was likely the older sibling, as Jonathan Webber's final letter admonished him to "look after" Susan, a role traditionally reserved for elder children, although it's also possible due to the gender dynamics of the time this isn't the case.[3]
Amanda Webber[]
Amanda Webber was the wife of Jonathan Webber.[1][4] She is a mentioned character in Amnesia: Rebirth.
Amara Hannachi[]
Amara Hannachi was the mother of Salim Hannachi. She is a mentioned character, but is deceased by the time of Amnesia: Rebirth. Her name gave Tasi the idea to name her new child "Amari".
Antoine R.[]
Charles De Vries[]
Charles De Vries was the father of Leon De Vries.[5] He is a mentioned character, but is deceased by the time of Amnesia: Rebirth. Charles once owned a lion claw pendant, which he claimed was a source of good luck for him. After his death, Leon took his father's pendant and wore it himself; however, during his transformation into a Harvester, Leon somehow lost the pendant.
Ilsa De Vries[]
Ilsa De Vries was the mother of Leon De Vries.[5] She is a mentioned character in Amnesia: Rebirth.
Kemi[]
Oscar March[]
Phoebe[]
Phoebe was a woman who oncd worked for the mining company Macfadzean and West, she was acquainted with both Hank Mitchell and Leon De Vries. Before the Sadiola expedition departed, Hank asked Phoebe about Leon, she told Hank she wouldn’t invite him to dinner.[6] Since Phoebe had a reputation for liking everyone, Hank took this as a sign Leon would be difficult to manage within the group.[6]
Susan Webber[]
Susan Webber was the daughter of Jonathan Webber.[1] She is a mentioned character in Amnesia: Rebirth. Susan, and her brother Alfie Webber, were intended by their father to receive one or more postcards on his expedition to Algeria (as Jonathan's first journey outside of England). Their father also intended to give them both souvenirs from the trip [2] Susan was likely the younger sibling, as Jonathan Webber's final letter impressed on Alfie to "look after" her, a role traditionally reserved for elder children.[3] According to her father's letter, she was also supposed to be told that she was the "best girl in the world," indicating perhaps a special fondness on her father's behalf or perhaps that she would have been too young to understand the tragedy of her father's situation.[3]

French Foreign Legion[]
- Main article: French Foreign Legion
The following are all minor characters belonging to the French Foreign Legion in Amnesia: Rebirth, stationed at Al-Mamaru Fort or elsewhere.
Corporal Khadir[]
Legionnaire Aldéric[]
Legionnaire Belanger[]
Legionnaire Belanger was a soldier of the French Foreign Legion stationed at Al-Mamaru Fort in the Algerian desert. He is a mentioned character in Amnesia: Rebirth. Belanger was possibly among the four players of a card game of "Hearts" sometime prior to the ill-fate of the garrison (along with Legionnaires Desrosiers, Duguay, and Freund,). If it was indeed him, Belanger came in last with 105 points and made at least one error of addition when tallying points after a trick, which had to be scribbled out and corrected.[7][a]
Legionnaire Gardinier[]
Legionnaire Martel[]
Legionnaire Mathieu[]
Legionnaire Regis[]
Legionnaire Rothbauer[]
W. Freund[]
Legionnaire W. Freund was a soldier of the French Foreign Legion stationed at Al-Mamaru Fort in the Algerian desert. He is a mentioned character in Amnesia: Rebirth. Freund was likely among the four players of a card game of "Hearts" sometime prior to the ill-fate of the garrison (along with Legionnaires W. Freund Belanger, Duguay, and Desrosiers), where he came in second-place with 73 points.[7][a]
