Master Archivist is an achievement in the Steam and Xbox versions of the game Amnesia: The Dark Descent and the Amnesia: Collection. In the Playstation version, it exists as a gold Trophy. Master Archivist is a missable skill task achievement, gained by performing an unusual action in the game.

Overview

Master Archivist is achieved by finding and picking up all of the notes in the first Amnesia games, such as the notes in The Dark Descent and the notes in Justine. Diary entries do not count toward this achievement.

There are, strictly, multiple versions of this achievement and trophy, depending on the platform:

1. The Amnesia: Collection Trophy (PS4) — gained by reading all the documents across all the games in the collection (i.e. The Dark Descent, Justine, and A Machine for Pigs).
2. The Amnesia: The Dark Descent Achievement (Xbox, Steam) — gained by reading all the documents in The Dark Descent and Justine.
3. The Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs Achievement (Xbox, Steam) — gained by reading all the documents in only A Machine for Pigs.
