The Escape Ditch is the last area and unique non-playable area of Amnesia: The Bunker. As the last area of the game, it serves as the de facto exit to the bunker.
Description[]
The escape ditch consists of a large ditch at the bottom of a steep hill or rampart. It is steep and deep, having accumulated a pool of water at its bottom, presumably from rain, which notoriously accumulated across the battlefields of the Western Front. It is full of junk, debris, wires, and war equipment, metal parts and other products of the war. It is also filled with the corpses of numerous soldiers, mangled, and dismembered in varying degrees of decomposition.

After Henri Clement blew open the bunker entrance from the Central Bunker, he instead opened a pit that led him down into the Arena. There, he faced off against the Beast one last time.
In case the player decides to avoid the creature, they will find their path to the exit blocked. The player must make use of a large and smaller box to make a climbable path over the grey brick wall.
If the player decides to kill the Beast, by breaking a bridge at the right time and sending it plummeting into the chasm below, it will cause a flash and violent disruption from the Arena, which starts to collapse the ceiling and other sections of the area, such as the bridges. In this instance, a large chunk of the ceiling will fall on the aforementioned wall, clearing a path.
Whichever choice is made and path followed, once the flight of stairs is climbed, walk through the passageway and clear it of the lodged boulders. Henri Clement loses his footing and falls, and the ending sequences begins to play immediately.
