The Control Room is a side room of the Cistern Entrance and the game's eighteenth location. It contains machinery powering the two bridges in the Entrance. Like the Entrance, the Control Room is a safe place in which no Gatherers will spawn.
The Control Room consists of two main rooms separated by a heavy wooden door and five side rooms. These side rooms contain the controls for the bridges. One of the bridges is operational but the other is not, so Daniel must make the controls match the ones in the opposite side room controlling the functioning bridge.
In the fifth side room, there are steam pipes coming out of the wall, which Daniel must fix by attaching pipes to them. When he is done fixing the machines, the wheel that controls the heavy door breaks. However, this wheel can be replaced by a wooden crank found in one of the control rooms.
- In the first room to your right, with the pipe and the control panel, a tinderbox can be found on a box at the far end of the room. (104)
- In the room opposite the previous one, another tinderbox can be found on a box at the left side of the room. (105)
- After opening the gate and proceeding to the next part of the control room, head into the room to your right. The tinderbox is on a small table next to a note. (106)
- The one oil container in this area is in the room to your right after you pass the door you need to crank open. It's beneath the stairs.
- Machine - Can be found in the far right room, on a small table.
- The player does not require the wooden crank in order to open the heavy gate. They can simply prop up the door with several crates or a chair, leaving the crank obsolete and a non-essential item if added to their inventory.
- This is the first area of the castle where Alexander becomes aware of Daniel trying to thwart his schemes.
