"Do you see, Daniel? A whole other world – isn't it beautiful?"
The following section is written from an out-of-universe perspective.

In Amnesia: The Bunker, there are two Endings that can be achieved depending on the actions of the player against Beast in the Arena.

My conscience compels me now as it failed to compel me then. I must do something, even if it costs me my own life. I must do something lest, I never sleep again. I must do something or risk greeting Hell itself as a relief. I must do something... .

Escape Ending[]

During the final confrontation, Henri can outmaneuver the Beast as it follows him by manipulating the bridges in the area. After crossing the chasm to the other side, a large brick wall blocks the way to the stairs that lead out of the caverns. On the structure there are a several boxes that can be moved, though very heavy and slow to push, if successfully moved and climbed and provided Henri does not allow the Beast itself to destroy the containers, Henri can avoid confronting the Beast and hop over the wall, running up the stairs that lead to the exit of the Arena.

Once the door to the outside is reached, Henri pushes a few lodged boulders out of the way and steps outside, losing his footing and rolling down a cliff. He falls in a puddle of water, and once emerged, finds himself surrounded by dozens of dead French infrantrymen. Henri looks up and, through the same passage he exited from comes The Beast, who roars and runs off into the land. Right afterwards, Henri's attention is caught, as he gazes forwards up the ditch: several German soldiers are alerted and moving in, possibly noticing The Stalker or Henri himself, and the game fades to black.

Kill Ending[]

If, during the final confrontation Henri takes notice of the brittle state of some of the bridges, he can lure The Beast into one of the wooden bridges by angering it with his presence or letting himself get spotted, or by throwing the Rabbit Toy on the wooden planks of the bridge. Once the Beast is on one of the bridges, the Toy will keep it distracted for a brief moment, or else, it can be stunned by shooting it with the Revolver or Shotgun to keep it in place. Henri then is able to collapse the wooden bridge under the creature with a grenade or a shotgun blast to it's frame, breaking it, with The Stalker plummeting to it's death at the hands of the Shadow.

This will cause the Arena to rumble and start falling apart, A chunk of the ceiling will fall on the wall blocking the stairs, allowing Henri to climb up over it and up the stairs. Once the door to the outside is reached, Henri pushes a few lodged boulders out of the way and steps outside, losing his footing and rolling down a cliff. He falls in a puddle of water, and once emerged, finds himself surrounded by dozens of dead French infrantrymen. Henri looks up as rocks falls from the passage he exited from. Right afterwards, Henri's attention is caught as gazes forwards up the ditch as several German soldiers are seen moving in, patrolling the area, possibly noticing Henri himself. The game fades to black.
