Guys this is extremely off-topic, please take it to DM's next time
No worries, glad to have you back! 😁
All character infoboxes have been replaced, and the Amnesia characters infobox has been deleted!
You should join the Frictional Games Discord! I typically don't play custom stories that much, but there are a lot of people there dedicated to modding who would surely like to help you.
Also, there are a few listed on the Custom Story page you might want to check out.
The third one is also in the room with the dead soldiers
There are I think three bottles of laudanum that can be found in Rebirth; one next to Herbert, one in the room in the arsenal with the dead soldiers where you pick up the sulfur, and then a third one that I don't remember where you find it. I'm not sure if there's any consensus on what it does though, I think it reduces fear?
Since the oil page contain listed locations for all the oil in TDD, and that lamp oil is named differently, "Lamp oil" should probably have a separate page than oil imo. The same with puzzle items, it probably easier to navigate that way.
I'm torn on whether i think the Lantern page should be split up into three separate pages however. And maybe the Laudanum page should be distinguished as well? I'm leaning towards yes, but we should get more opinions on it before making any final decisions. What do you think? We could look through other Fandom wikis to see how it's done and if there's any good throughline to follow.
You could always add the {{merge}} or {{split}} template to the top of articles that warrant a discussion regarding merging or splitting.
My thought was to make a new character infobox, but i left the old "amnesia characters" one behind since i didn't want to ruin all pages that used it. ideally all character pages should switch over to the new one and the old one deleted?
sad to hear that, what irony that a new amnesia game would be announced on this very day! :( have a good one!
this is such exciting news! going to be great seeing all the new info popping in around here. good job putting in work lewis!
5-6 hours...? Seems a bit short to me... But maybe that is if you just run through the game, not paying attention to much of the story, and not getting stuck at the puzzles for hours...
Anyways, great info! Can't wait for this game!
Well, if I played this game when I was eleven I would be scared shitless and wouldn't be able to sleep for weeks.
It's not violent in the same way as say, Grand Theft Auto (as your character can not kill, and actually only encounters a few other characters throughout the game), but it does contain violent and depressing scenes of torture (even going into extreme details about how it should be performed to cause the victim as much pain as possible). And bodies completely ripped to pieces can be found at parts, before you encounter the monster who did it...
...So you stay behind a box whimpering and crying, hoping it wont find you...
If I had a young child, I would not let him/her play it. Not so much for the elements of gore, alcohol, nudity and torture, but more for the extreme horror elements in it that could leave a kid scarred afterwards. But the choice is up to you.
Make sure you put the rods in the right places: The four-phase rod goes in the square hole, the trinity rod goes in the triangle hole, and the flow cycle rod goes in the round hole.
Also make sure you pulled the levers correctly; from left to right, raise the levers like this: up, up, down, leave it, up, down. The numbers on the top should add up to 8, and the ones at the bottom the same.
Finally, make sure you put three pieces of coal in the burner and pull the lever. Then make sure you have all three cogs placed on the machine, and pull the final lever, and the thing should work.
